I am with Thee!

The Power of His Presence

"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." —Matthew 18:20 (NIV)

There is a profound simplicity in God’s promise to us in Matthew 18:20. The Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, assures us of His presence—not in the grandeur of stadiums or the magnitude of crowds, but in the humble gathering of just two or three hearts united in His name.

It’s a reminder that our faith isn’t measured by numbers or formality but by the sincerity of our hearts and the unity of our purpose.

What Happens When Two or Three Gather in His Name?

1. His Presence is With Us

God Himself draws near when we gather in His name. His manifest presence fills the space, bringing comfort, peace, and joy. He delights in the fellowship of His children (Psalm 133:1).

2. He Answers Prayers

Jesus reminds us, “If two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven” (Matthew 18:19). When we gather in agreement, heaven responds. Healing flows, chains break, and miracles unfold.

3. He Heals and Restores

Wherever Jesus is present, there is healing (Luke 5:17). The broken are mended, relationships are restored, and weary hearts are refreshed. He brings new life to every situation, no matter how impossible it seems.

4. He Protects and Blesses

Gathering in His name is an act of faith that invites His divine protection and blessings. It is a sacred moment where His favor rests, and His promises are activated over our lives.

The Power of Small Gatherings

It doesn’t take a multitude to experience the fullness of God’s presence. His power isn’t confined to large events or elaborate ceremonies. In fact, some of the greatest miracles in Scripture happened in small, intimate settings:

  • Paul and Silas worshipped together in prison, and God shook the earth, breaking their chains and opening prison doors (Acts 16:25-26).
  • Two disciples on the road to Emmaus encountered the risen Jesus as they walked and talked (Luke 24:13-35).
  • The early believers gathered in small homes, praying and breaking bread, and the Holy Spirit moved mightily among them (Acts 2:42-47).

God’s presence is not bound by place or size. Wherever hearts are gathered in His name—whether in a living room, a hospital room, or a quiet park—He is there.

Reflection: What Miracles Can Happen Today?

Pause and consider:

  • Who can you gather with today in Jesus’ name?
  • What breakthrough are you believing for in agreement with others?
  • How can you make space for God’s presence in your daily life?

When you come together with even one or two others, don’t underestimate the power of that moment. Healing, restoration, peace, and provision are available through the promise of His presence.

Declaration of Faith

Today, I declare that I will not take lightly the promise of God’s presence. I will value the power of gathering with others in His name. I believe that as we unite in faith, heaven’s power will be released, and miracles will unfold.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your promise to be with us when we gather in Your name. What a gift it is to know that You delight in our fellowship and that Your presence is always near.

Lord, help me to value the simplicity of gathering with others in faith, knowing that even the smallest gathering has the potential to release heaven’s power. Open my eyes to see the opportunities to join with others in prayer, worship, and agreement.

I pray for Your presence to fill every gathering, whether in a home, a workplace, or even over a phone call. Let Your healing flow, let Your breakthroughs come, and let Your glory be revealed.

Thank You for being a faithful God who hears and answers prayers. I rest in the assurance that You are here, and You are working. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen.

Shalom

Fight the good fight of Faith

"Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called." —1 Timothy 6:12 (NIV) Life isn’t a passive journey; it is a battleground where the good fight of faith is waged daily. As a believer, you have been enlisted into this spiritual warfare, and your victory is guaranteed through Christ. But to claim it, you must actively engage. This isn’t just a fight for survival—it’s a fight for your faith, your joy, and your eternal destiny. The Nature of the Battle A Fight Against Doubt The enemy whispers, “Did God really say?” (Genesis 3:1). Doubt creeps in to challenge God’s promises, attempting to erode your trust in Him. A Fight Against Weariness The joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10), but the enemy seeks to exchange that joy for heaviness and despair, wearing you down so you lose the will to fight. A Fight Against Sin Temptation lurks in the subtle corners of your day—small compromises, negative words, or actions that seem insignifi...

Stand Firm and Be Unshaken

"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." —1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV) Each day unfolds like a canvas, painted with strokes of blessings and challenges. The blessings fill our hearts with joy and gratitude, but the challenges can cast shadows of fear, doubt, and anxiety. Yet, today, God whispers to us through His Word: “Stand firm. Let nothing move you.” What Does It Mean to Stand Firm? Physically: Stand tall. Lift your head high as a child of God. Let your posture reflect the authority and strength of your heavenly Father. Emotionally: Refuse to let worry or fear dominate your heart. Guard your emotions from the storms of uncertainty and pain. Instead, clothe yourself with God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Mentally: Fix your thoughts on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy ...
